Clinical Governance Group
This programme within the NPWS wellbeing portfolio will oversee all clinical activity and deliver strategic change via systems re-engineering.
A key deliverable for the police covenant will be good healthcare provision for members and former members of the police workforce. Taking lessons from the achievements gained by the Armed Forces covenant, work will be undertaken to influence the national commissioning criterion for health service provision, and to support local engagement between police forces and NHS commissioners.
Police Health Observatory
Evidence-based practice demands good data. The PHO will establish data capture and analysis systems that will inform and shape policy and practice, via health needs assessments and measurement of impact.
